‘Autumn Cocktails & Jazz Affair’ Pre-Event: Membership Drive at 3 PM

The Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus, Inc. is very excited to host a ‘Meet and Greet’ and Membership Drive on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 3 PM to 4 PM at Antonees On Broadway located at 115 North Broadway, White Plains, New York.

In light of the disparity of females and especially African American women working in key government and policy positions, the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus’ main goal is to inspire, educate and support African American women who have and desire political careers.  We currently have four (4) membership categories and we are now promoting our Associate Membership.

The Associate Membership provides you, as an African American woman the opportunity to become involved and assist, guide, promote, support, advocate for and foster African American women in politics, as well as, those who are inspired to make a difference in government and policy. This membership category is specifically for women who don’t meet the (residency) criteria for regular, senior or youth membership, but want to be affiliated and join forces with the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus to promote and expand our mission as far outwards and upwards as possible.  Please contact our 1st Vice President, Sherron Fantauzzi at 914.882.1868 for more information.

In addition, we are presenting our Annual Autumn Cocktails and Jazz Affair immediately following the ‘Meet and Greet’.  If you enroll as an Associate Member during theMembership Drive, we invite you to stay and enjoy the Autumn Cocktails and Jazz Affair at a discounted rate of $75.

Throughout history, we have seen that one woman can make a difference when it comes to the civil and social rights and issues that affect women.   However, the impact is so much greater when we fight for causes together in large numbers, as well as when Champions of Change have a strong visible support system, they are taken more seriously and this quest is no different.  We hope that you will attend the ‘Meet & Greet’ to learn more about the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus.  We will help you determine how you can assist and support African American women in politics or perhaps you already are involved in politics or hope to run for  elected office.  By completing the Associate Membership process, you can begin to utilize your time and skills set to encourage and empower African American women to become interested and involved in all aspects of government and policy because it is imperative that they become the voice of the black community and women as a whole.

Hoping to see you on October 28th and respectfully yours,

Jewel F. Williams

County-Wide President
