WBWPC Announces Endorsements

As the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus is a five-chapter, multi-partisan, political organization with chapters in Greenburgh, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Peekskill and Yonkers the organization made great efforts to be all-inclusive of all candidates from all parties.  The WBWPC contacted all County candidates since August for the candidates to participate in their October 19th candidate’s forum and to also submit questionnaires. With primary season now over, the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus, Inc. announced it is accepting questionnaires for candidate endorsements. The Caucus is accepting questionnaires for both judicial positions and Westchester County Executive, Legislators and Clerk (available below and in fillable/pdf format via email at info@wbwpc.org) in advance of their Candidates Forum on October 19, 2013 at 11 AM. WBWPC Annual Autumn Cocktails & Jazz Event – Sun., Oct. 6, 2013, 6 to 10 PM

The Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus, Inc. held their Annual Autumn Cocktails & Jazz Affair on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Mansion on Broadway located at 139 North Broadway, White Plains, NY.  With 200+ attendees all, including our elected officials truly had a fun time and truly enjoed… Live Jazz Entertainment by SAGE, the all-women’s jazz, blues and contemporary ensemble & Delicious Hors d’oeuvres, Beer, Wine & Soft Drinks+ Cash Bar .

Risley Place Named in honor of former WBWPC Member, Rhoda C. Quash, The First African-American Woman Elected to the New Rochelle City Council

Quash, former City Councilwoman.  The ceremony was held April 18 at the intersection of Risley Place and French Ridge.. WBWPC Disenfranchisement Committee Forms Coalition to Fight Voter Suppression
